Thanksgiving Week

To all of my regular viewers...I am so sorry that I missed posting this week's assignments! I had no idea it was missed until Thursday night. Next time I miss a week, feel free to shoot me an email and I will get it up.

For Thanksgiving week....

Final research papers are due in 6th grade on Monday morning. No exceptions.

My classes have no homework Monday night or over the Thanksgiving holiday except to practice List 14 Spelling words. Those words will be tested on Wednesday, December 3, when we come back from the break so everyone needs to be ready.

Don't forget that we need you to send in your requested item Tuesday morning. Keep in mind that the feast is for the students and staff only.

Homework 9/13/14

Welcome back from Fall Break! I hope everyone got some much needed rest, relaxation, and fun in over the last week.

REMINDERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1) Start working on Silent Auction donations and items for our Harvest Festival Basket. I am sending home a tax letter to show to businesses as you ask for donations. Make as many copies as necessary of the letter. I have gotten a very nice gift card a restaurant just by asking. If we all did that, this would be the most successful Harvest Fest yet!

2) I am also sending home a letter inviting your child to be a part of a LEGO mini-club sponsored by myself. If you are interested in your child participating, send in the $20 club fee (to me -- not the office) and the permission slip by Thursday. To complete all 3 sets that I have planned, we need 10 people in the club; otherwise I will minimize our sets to 2.

3) Harvest Festival is November 8. We will be checking with you to sign up for a volunteer spot in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes open.

Continue to check folders for the weekly objectives which will outline which pages to study for quizzes and tests.

Reminders - 

     1. Hot lunch order forms are due on Monday of the week the lunch is requested. For example if you want a hot lunch for your child on August 20, then form must be in on August 18.

     2. T-shirt orders are due in the office

     3. In grades 5-10, boys' shirts must be tucked in. I will begin issuing Uniform Offenses for those boys who consistently untuck their shirts.

     4. All spelling homework is due at 8:30 on Wednesday morning.

**Students have a reading vocabulary quiz on Friday of each week. The words are sent home each Monday. Students must know the word and definition (but I am not testing spelling of these words).
