Homework for 8/25/14

PARENTS...This blog is to help you verify your child's planners at home. Please make sure your child is writing down everything daily.

Also, there is a 40 minute study hall every day (except Thursdays starting in Sept)...there is no excuse for students not to get most of their homework done at school.

Every night, students should review their Reading Vocab and Spelling Words, along with their Bible verses.

Monday
6th English - Test Wednesday

5th & 6thh Spelling - Test over List 2 on Wednesday - homework due in the tray no later than 8:30 a.m.

History - Quiz Wednesday

Reading - New vocabulary given out - quiz Friday

Science - CCU B #9-15 and all of E on paper; Test tomorrow

Bible - Memorize Eph 6:15-16 by Friday for a quiz; Quiz over lesson 3 on Friday

Tuesday
6th English - Think D page 26; Test tomorrow

5th & 6th Spelling - Test tomorrow over List 2. Homework due tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.

History - Chapter check up 2, section B #5-10 on paper; Test Friday

Wednesday
History - Skill Sheet 4B and Chapter Check Up 2 D all

Science -- Look in your child's folder for the Mammal Poster Project guidelines

5th Language - Page 31 Think A #11-20

Thursday
5th & 6th Spelling - List 3 homework and test due next Wednesday, September 3

Homework for the week of 8/18

Continue to check folders for the weekly objectives which will outline which pages to study for quizzes and tests.

Reminders - 

     1. Hot lunch order forms are due on Monday of the week the lunch is requested. For example if you want a hot lunch for your child on August 20, then form must be in on August 18.

     2. T-shirt orders are due in the office

     3. In grades 5-10, boys' shirts must be tucked in. I will begin issuing Uniform Offenses for those boys who consistently untuck their shirts.

     4. All spelling homework is due at 8:30 on Wednesday morning.

**Students have a reading vocabulary quiz on Friday of each week. The words are sent home each Monday. Students must know the word and definition (but I am not testing spelling of these words). 

***Bible verses for this week are Ephesians 6:13-14. A quiz over lesson 2 and the Bible verses will be Friday.

Week 1 - August 8

This week there is no written homework due.

Be aware that students should start spelling homework by Wednesday or Thursday. The spelling test will be on August 20 and homework for list 1 will be due that day.

Also, there are quizzes this week.

5th/6th Science -- Quiz Friday over 1.3 & 1.4

Remember, those of you who are new to our school or new to me, I review in the class. The kids will be ready for the quizzes on Friday. Do NOT worry.
